APG - MONO RANGE
Our APG MONO range comes in black and white and 5 sizes, with MONO 1 being the smallest, most suitable for A4 and A3 prints, and MONO 5 being the largest, best suited for B3, A2 and larger. MONO 4 and MONO 5 both require a spacer in order to set the artwork away from the glass; this is included in the costs, below. Most of the profiles are available in both grainy and flat matte finishes, and some are also available in high gloss.
MONO 1 & 2
MONO 1 and MONO 2 are the smallest profile mouldings in our standard frames. These will both work well with your smaller pieces of art, but can also be used up to a close frame A2.
MONO 1 is a square profile moulding at 15mm x 15mm. In contrast, MONO 2 has a wider profile, with 15mm x 20mm.
Both are available in a matt, or with a more natural finish, with the grain of the wood visible through the colour, particularly on the white version.

MONO 3
Another square profile moulding, but a bit chunkier, MONO 3 is 22 x 22mm and has a smooth matt finish.
This moulding is also available in a range of colours… not so monochrome after all!

MONO 4
MONO 4 has a deep rebate and therefore a 12mm spacer is included in the prices. This spacer sets the artwork back from the glass, giving it “air”, visual space. With float frames the artwork is mounted with visible edges and a border of about 35mm.

MONO 5
MONO 5 has a deep rebate and therefore a 19mm spacer is included in the prices. This spacer sets the artwork back from the glass, giving it more visual space.

The A-sizes are in common use and many artists and print publishers produce work at those sizes. We like to use the less common B-sizes. Of course prints also come in many other sizes; the prices on this page should give you a broad idea of pricing for those.
