Hannah Radcliffe - Masks
It seemed Covid-appropriate to bring Hannah Radcliffe’s piece out first, as it has influenced our whole year, although hopefully people will be getting the Christmas they want without any restrictions.
I like this artwork a lot, and particularly the animation gif that Hannah created with this. It is whimsical and I enjoy the artwork as an accompaniment to the animation, all laid out.
From an internal perspective as well, the process of printing this piece was quite a tricky one given how simple a premise it is, and we ended up redoing the print when we realised we didn’t have the right pink. Finally getting the colour we were all happy with, which we have dubbed Gammon Pink, was therefore a very satisfying end.
