Jim Spendlove - Nature’s Upcycle
I love this print for a number of reasons. Firstly it’s a beautifully put together piece when you take a close look. It seems to be almost other worldly with its big red moons and slightly strange looking plant life yet the building is a familiar sight to locals.
Secondly it serves up some reassurance of the resilience of nature, reminding us that what we abandon will quickly be upcycled back to wilderness. In this way, although at first appearing to be a somewhat dystopian image, it is actually filled with optimism and hope for the future.
Great to go in a room filled with our friends: the plants.
