  1. Mester Class // 18th - 22nd October

It would be a mistake to say that Sheffield’s heyday of traditional mester works and craftsmanship is over, we’re lucky enough to live in a city that is home to an elite group of trades working hard to keep these traditions going.

This week we have Mester Class in the gallery, a collective of 5 apprentice trained Sheffield Craftsmen. A silversmith, a blacksmith, a chaser, a knife-maker and a spinner. Mester Class is a selling exhibition of modern craft by traditional Sheffield craftsmen. Sophisticated and refined objects made by hand and to the highest standard. Mester Class, Pop-up show, APG Works Gallery

We were back down at Peddler Night Market this October launching a brand-new screen print collaboration with Steve Millington aka Dry British. Millington is the featured artist in this month’s Mess Magazine, a publication by Sheffield’s Dust Collective and Peddler Night Market, bringing you exciting features on food and art in Sheffield. Millington himself is an internationally known illustrator whose distinctive scratchy pen and ink style is instantly recognisable. Aside from working with us this month, he has also just completed illustrating an advertising campaign for Fortnum & Masons of London, which can be seen in current editions of the Sunday Times Magazine.

We only have 10 prints available from this edition, at £30.00 each - check them out on the shop
